My Story

Received the following email from Yoshi Tanaka on January 29, 2011:

I was a friend of Lee Congiardo who is one of your classmates. He past away on the 9th of July, 1994, the result of a car accident. Yes, he was so young for leaving this world.

I was pretty new friend for him, but this is his information:

Early years: He worked at Disney.

Mid 80s - 90s: He worked at Landmark Entertainment as Art Director.
During the 80s and 90s, he was working and living in Japan for many projects of theme park. One of the biggest projects was for Tokyo Disney Land.

He was huge collector of Disney items. When I visited his house, I saw an original poster of Pirate of the Caribbean (Orland Disney Land).

He loved Japan, and he really wanted to have a job for living in Japan.

My memory of him, I met him in 1988, Tokyo. I could not speak any English. He taught me the language for two years. I am now living in the United States, and teaching Japanese at a college.

Fina Lee Congiardo was great person, kind, funny, sweet, and very smart.

Sorry for bringing not good news, but I would like to let you and your classmates know.
